Health inequalities are systematic, avoidable and unfair differences in health outcomes between populations, between social groups within the same population or as a gradient across a population ranked by social position. In C & P stark inequalities exist in the social determinants of health, risk factors, health care provision and clinical outcomes across socio-economic, disadvantaged and inclusion health groups (Ford, 2020).
