Community Safety Partnerships

Community Safety Partnerships

The Policy and Insight team within Cambridgeshire County Council support Community Safety Partnerships (CSP) in Cambridgeshire with their research, monitoring and information needs.

The service produce a variety of reports for each CSP, depending on need but generally we get involved in:

  • Analysing patterns in crime
  • Alcohol and drug misuse
  • Anti-social behaviour
  • Evaluations of community safety projects

In practical terms this means that the team is involved in regularly reviewing and analysing data from the police, fire and rescue service, ambulance trust and emergency departments amongst others. This allows the team to establish patterns in crime, alcohol and drug misuse, anti-social behaviour and behaviour that adversely affects the environment.

This enables the Community Safety Partnerships to plan appropriate actions to tackle emerging issues.
