Devolved Adult Education Budget
This section includes analysis conducted within the Adult Education Budget (AEB) work area. In the 2019/20 academic year Adult Education was devolved from central government to Mayoral Combined Authorities. This allowed for greater autonomy on delivery and policy decisions targeted to the local area.
Adult Education providers record data on learning delivery through the Individualised Learner Record (ILR). Much of the analysis in this section is based on this data source.
Adult Education Budget – Evaluation Reports
Every year the delivery of the Adult Education Budget undergoes an evaluation. This helps the Combined Authority, wider stakeholders and partners understand how devolution of the budget has gone, what works, lessons to be learnt and the potential for impact.
