System leadership
Changing Futures Cambridgeshire & Peterborough focuses on learning lessons, overcoming and removing barriers, and on sharing learning from each person’s experiences so others don’t have to solve the same problems over and over again.
To help with this flow of communication, a simple governance structure has been devised to make sure that at each level of operations, people with lived experience are involved and lessons are shared with partners who can then work together to remove barriers.
An ‘ecosystem’ of learning
It is important that everyone involved in a system can feed their ideas in, share experiences, and work together to remove barriers and find solutions – whoever they are, wherever they work, at all levels, including customers, staff and volunteers.
A vital link is that when people share, they are heard, their input is valued, and they are kept informed about the effect their contribution has made.
In this way we can build more effective solutions, together.
System Leadership Foundation Training
The programme provided a solid introduction to the MEAM approach and some of the principles and best practice at its core.
There were 48 places on a number of courses which ran from Autumn 2024 onward, each taking place over a 12 week programme.

Following this training, course participants and others have joined together to create a manifesto, and to continue the thinking and related work though two “convening with purpose” events…
