Annual and Permanent Traffic Count Sites
The Cambridgeshire County Council Policy & Insight team monitor traffic flows across the county using a series of permanent sensors and annually-scheduled surveys. The amount of data collected varies depending on the type of monitoring being used. This ranges from continuously-collected automatically-classified counts to annual single-day surveys.
The dashboard below shows the locations that are being monitored and provides details of the frequency and type of monitoring being undertaken. A list of the locations can be provided upon request by emailing policyandinsight@cambridgeshire.gov.uk.
Daily flows and high levels trends at many of the data collection sites can be viewed through our suite of traffic flow dashboards. More detailed hourly flow data can be provided in Excel format by request, as detailed below (charges apply).
