This Loneliness map highlights a large variety of risk factors associated with loneliness.
Some indicators listed in the data section have a higher risk factor associated with loneliness than others.
For example ‘very bad’ health is a risk factor that is a key determinant in loneliness in older people. It does not however indicate loneliness in younger people so viewing any of the attached indicators without context could lead to false conclusions about loneliness in certain areas.
