About
The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Armed Forces Covenant Partnership Board

The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Armed Forces Covenant Partnership Board was created in March 2024 and is a combination of the separate Cambridgeshire AFC Board & Peterborough AFC Board.

As the funding for the Armed Forces Covenant role was depleted by March 2024, stakeholders began a series of engagements with partners and a partnership between 7 councils was formed to support a new role that covered both Cambridgeshire & Peterborough with a fully shared approach.

The Armed Forces Covenant Partnership Coordinator role was developed to oversee and coordinate the work between all council partners and other stakeholders including Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Regular and Reserve Armed Forces Units and Stations, NHS, Cambridgeshire Constabulary, Forces Charities and other services with an interest in supporting the Armed Forces Community.

The partnership funding partners are Cambridgeshire County Council, Cambridge City Council, East Cambs District Council, Fenland District Council, Huntingdonshire District Council, Peterborough City Council & South Cambs District Council.

The board is made up of around 80 members from 50 different organisations and numerous documents including agendas, actions and partner reports are produced for each meeting.
