The dashboard below brings together data relating to measures of poverty across key themes. It is designed to help you understand more about key poverty statistics and associated datasets within your local area. For other key datasets such as ‘lived experience’ please refer back to the key poverty datasets and documents page.
The dashboard data includes:
- The 2021 census data, broken down by local authority and lower super-output area, where available. Data updates include, deprived households, qualifications by age, household tenure and household occupancy.
- Data from the the Give Food API on Food bank locations.
- Hyper Local Needs Measure from Independent Commission on Neighbourhoods (ICON) and OCSI.
- The Priority Places for Food Index, developed by the HASP Data Service at the University of Leeds, originally produced by the ESRC-funded CDRC, in collaboration with Which?
- DWP data about benefits and claimants
- Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) data on Fuel Poverty.
- Additional data from the ONS on Inflation (CPI).
