Local Area Research Fortnight 2015

The 2015 Local Area Research Fortnight (LARF) took place from the 16 March. The Research Group took part and hosted a variety of events over the two week period.

We ran a drop-in surgery every lunchtime in our office. Four lunchtime seminars were organised, each showcasing certain elements of our work, covering the following topics:

  • 16th March – The Research Group, Cambridgeshire Insight and Open Data
  • 19th March – Demography and Pupil Forecasting
  • 23rd March – Economy and Housing
  • 26th March – Consultation, Customer Insight and Community Safety
Feedback from the events were very positive, with people learning more about the Research Group and what we provide - both to the Council and to partners. People learnt more about data visualisations, census & demographics, and running consultations. We also demonstrated the impact of our work around the economy, housing and crime, and explained how it could be used within attendees' various areas of work..
