Purpose of the Needs Assessment
Cambridgeshire’s Child Poverty Needs Assessment aims to identify where child poverty is concentrated, and how widespread it is amongst particular types of family or groups of people. It also aims to understand the factors which contribute to Child Poverty in Cambridgeshire. The Needs Assessment will be used as the basis for the development of a Child Poverty Strategy for Cambridgeshire, bringing together a range of statutory and voluntary agencies to plan coherent services which prevent or mitigate Child Poverty.
The Needs Assessment is not intended to be a comprehensive record of the analysis undertaken on Child Poverty, but aims to summarise the findings relevant to the direction of the Strategy.
