Cambridgeshire Atlas | Broad Rental Market Areas

The Cambridgeshire Atlas | Broad Rental Market Areas atlas sets out the boundaries of all 152 of England's broad rental market areas (known as BRMAs) and the local housing allowance rates which apply to each.

First launched in December 2014, the Atlas was updated in March 2015 to show local housing allowance rates for 2015-16, which you can compare to 2014-15 and 2013-14 rates. From 2016-17 local housing allownaces, along with other working-age benefits, will be frozen as announced in the 2015 summer budget. The new rates were published by VOA on 29 January 2016 and are available as open data, in some areas the LHAs have been slightly reduced while most areas saw no change.  They can be found at BRMAs showing LHA rates.

The local housing allowance data and BRMA boundaries are published by the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) and are presented in this Atlas to help you compare neighbouring areas and years. We have also added local authority (district and borough) boundaries to show how areas compare. In 2016-17 we plan to add rent data gathered by VOA, alongside the LHA rates, to compare allowances with with rent levels.

Cambridgeshire Atlas | Local Housing Allowance changes
