The Census in England and Wales occurs once every 10 years and provides a very rich source of information about the population. The Census is a very important source of information for local authorities that make use of it to build a picture, or profile, of local people. In doing so authorities are better able to provide services and predict the needs of local populations.
The Cambridgeshire County Council Research and Performance team has been carrying out analysis on the 2011 Census, as set out in the Research and Performance Census Prospectus. Reports on local populations, that have been produced so far, are available on the following pages.
